The Lap Belt / Shoulder Sash Belt helps prevent patients falling from chairs and helps position their hips correctly on pressure cushions, fitted to the chair and normally remaining in position when vacated.
- Suitable for wheelchairs, dining chairs and some armchairs
- Fitted to the chair and normally remains in position when the chair is vacated
- Special sizes can be made on request for larger chairs
- The shorter section with the female buckle loops around the chair frame near the pelvic area; the longer section with the male buckle loops around the opposite side
- Available with buckle fastening or hook and loop fastening
- For use in a private home, authorisation is required from a suitable qualified person (e.g. Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Clinical Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse, or Doctor) to confirm the product is safe and appropriate for the individual — not required for use in a care facility, where staff are already trained in safe use.
