The Chair Belt adjusts to fit wheelchairs and lounge chairs, moving easily with the patient between chairs and usable as a gait belt during transfers.
- Made in two sections: one around the patient's waist, the other fastened behind the chair
- Undoes from the front for easy use
- Can be worn around the pelvic area, below the waist, depending on the patient's sitting position
- Side straps wind around the back of the chair frame near the pelvic area and buckle together behind the chair
- On a wheelchair with removable arms, straps must wrap around the main chair frame, not the removable sections
- Minimum Length: 126cm
- Maximum Length: 250cm
- For use in a private home, authorisation is required from a suitable qualified person (e.g. Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Clinical Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse, or Doctor) to confirm the product is safe and appropriate for the individual — not required for use in a care facility, where staff are already trained in safe use.
