Designed for patients with oral motor dysfunction, the Bionix Safe Straw delivers thin liquids like water and nutritional supplements in a measured amount to prevent choking. SafeStraw limits volume to approximately a teaspoon, or 6.2 ml, per sip helping to reduce the likelihood of aspiration by promoting a controllable liquid bolus.
Limited bolus size helps reduce aspiration risks allowing patients to safely, discreetly, and independently drink from a variety of containers such as cups and bottles.
